held and will likely to be concurrent with the annual PSLS conference. Social events are
being
planned including PSU football group tickets and/or tailgate as well as
occasional on-campus reunions.
- Keep members abreast of continuing education regulations
and opportunities via the website and/or e-mail as well as occasionally
providing opportunities.
- Establish a LSIT/PLS mentoring program to match potential
applicants with a recent licensee who will offer suggestions on the
application and examination process.
- Assist with current and conduct new marketing and
recruiting programs to help spread the word about the program and
attract more students to it.
- Support the program and faculty by supporting requests for,
arranging for use of, or acquiring resources that can not be obtained
through the University.
- Arrange for alumni and/or supporters to play an active role
in coursework by serving as guest speakers, mock interviewers, or
project reviewers.
- Hold an annual job fair which provides opportunities for
one-on-one interviews.
- Establish a scholarship incentive program that will reward
students for applying for and/or receiving one of the numerous
scholarships available from established professional organizations.
We look forward to your participation and support of this organization.
